Sourcing Sustainable Timber

Our furniture begins with responsibly sourced wood from carefully managed forests. We prioritise fast-growing species and reclaimed wood to reduce environmental impact. By selecting materials from responsible sources, we help support Sustainable Forestry Practices.

Understanding Sustainable Forestry

The journey of our timber starts with a commitment to Sustainable Forestry. This involves managing forests so that for every tree felled, a new one is planted—ensuring forests continue to thrive while still providing vital natural materials.

The process begins in greenhouses, where seedlings are nurtured for around a year until strong enough to be planted outdoors. These young trees are then transplanted into managed forests, where they are left to grow naturally for around five years.

As they mature, the trees are thinned every five years to allow the strongest specimens to continue growing with adequate space and resources. This careful thinning process continues for up to twenty years, promoting healthy, balanced growth.

Between the ages of twenty-five and thirty, the trees reach maturity and are ready for felling. Once harvested, the wood is transported to mills for processing. Crucially, the cycle restarts immediately—new seedlings are planted to replace those felled, ensuring a continuous and Sustainable supply of timber.

Designing for Sustainability

Our Design team focuses on durability and recyclability, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Modular designs allow for easy repairs and upgrades, extending product lifespan.

We incorporate Recycled and Upcycled materials where possible, from reclaimed metal frames to eco-friendly upholstery. Finishing options include high-quality Fabrics, Laminates, and Wooden Finishes, providing a range of Aesthetic and Functional choices. This helps reduce waste while maintaining high Design and Functional Standards.

Crafting & Manufacturing

Skilled craftspeople Manufacture our Furniture using modern techniques and traditional processes. The production process is optimised for Sustainability, including energy-efficient machinery and low-impact adhesives and finishes.

We aim for a zero-waste approach by Reusing or Recycling Production scraps. Upholstery choices prioritise biodegradable and vegan-friendly materials, aligning with ethical values while ensuring comfort and durability.

Eco-Friendly Packaging & Distribution

Once manufactured, our furniture is packaged and distributed Sustainably. We use recycled and biodegradable packaging materials to minimise waste.

Where possible, we work with logistics partners that offer carbon-conscious shipping. By optimising transportation routes and using fuel-efficient vehicles, we reduce the carbon footprint of our products.
